About
Built by people who have spent years sorting out other people's vans.
Vansold isn't a startup. It's the simple answer to a problem the team behind it has watched from the inside for a long time: selling a van in the UK is slower, and worse paid, than it ought to be.
Why Vansold exists
Sell a van the usual ways and you get three options, none of them good. List it privately and lose weeks to no-shows and haggling. Take it to a forecourt and get a trade price well under what it is worth. Or call an instant cash buyer and watch the on-screen offer shrink on the doorstep.
Vansold does one thing instead: one reg, one fair offer drawn from the Car.co.uk salvage and scrap network, free collection, and payment the same day. We price on what a van is genuinely worth to the salvage chain, its drivetrain, its parts, its metal, not on a margin-padded algorithm. That is why the offers tend to beat the comparison sites, and why there is no van too old or too rough for a real number.
We're not trying to be slick. We're trying to be useful.
Who runs it
Vansold is run by the team at New Reg Limited, the company behind Car.co.uk, Trader.co.uk and the rest of the group. It was founded by Steven Jackson OBE, and is led today by chief executive William Fletcher MBE and chief operating officer Anthony Sharkey. Between them they have spent decades in the motor trade, vehicle recycling, and the salvage networks that sit behind every Vansold offer.
