Terms of Use

These are trading terms for using vansold.co.uk to obtain a quote. The contract for the actual sale of your vehicle is formed with Car.co.uk (a trading name of New Reg Limited) when you accept the quote. Their separate terms govern the sale. Pre-launch legal review required.

1. About Vansold

Vansold.co.uk ("Vansold", "we", "us") is a website operated by New Reg Limited, registered in England and Wales (company no. 03143909, VAT 604546455), with registered office at Unit 5, 117 Liverpool Road, Longton, Preston, PR4 5AA. New Reg Limited is authorised and regulated by the FCA (FRN: 626225).

2. Eligibility

You may use Vansold if you are 18 or over, resident in the United Kingdom, and the registered keeper (or authorised seller) of the vehicle you want a quote on.

3. The quote

When you submit your reg, postcode and contact details, our backend requests a price from Car.co.uk's pricing engine. The price displayed is an offer to purchase your van made by Car.co.uk via Vansold. The offer is valid for 7 days from issue.

Quotes are based on the information you provide and on third-party data (DVLA / vehicle data API). If the actual condition of the van differs materially from the data on which the quote is based, for example, undisclosed Cat S/N status, missing V5, mismatched VIN, the quote may be revised before contract.

4. Acceptance and sale

When you click "Accept and book collection", you are routed to Car.co.uk to complete the transaction. From that point, the contract for sale is governed by Car.co.uk's terms.

5. Trader.co.uk listing

If you decline the quote and choose to list on Trader.co.uk, your vehicle registration is passed to Trader.co.uk via URL parameter to pre-fill the listing. Trader.co.uk's terms govern that listing.

6. Information you provide

You agree that the information you submit (reg, postcode, contact details, condition statements) is accurate, current, and complete. We rely on it.

7. Use of the website

You agree not to use the website to:

• Submit reg or postcode data that is not yours or that you have no authority to submit.
• Attempt to access non-public areas, manipulate quotes, or scrape data automatically.
• Misrepresent the condition or status of a vehicle.

8. Our liability

We don't exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, our liability for any matter arising from your use of vansold.co.uk is limited to the value of any quote validly issued to you. Vansold is not liable for any onward sale entered into via Car.co.uk or any listing made on Trader.co.uk, these are governed by their own terms.

9. Intellectual property

All content on vansold.co.uk, copy, design, logos, photographs, is the property of New Reg Limited or its licensors. The Vansold wordmark, "Sold. Sorted. Same day." strapline, and visual identity are protected.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

11. Complaints

Use the contact form. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and respond within 10. For matters relating to the sale of your van after acceptance, contact Car.co.uk directly. For listing matters on Trader.co.uk, contact Trader.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the home page. The "Last updated" date above is the live version.
